Hello and welcome to our website, now fully updated for our 2008 Programme. We hope you will find it informative and helpful. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further details of any of the events or facilities mentioned on our site, or to request a copy of our 2008 Seminars and Events update.
For those of you who have not come across Pilgrims Hall before, allow
us to briefly introduce ourselves. The Hall is a wonderful old regency
style country house set in 19 acres of gardens and grounds, yet situated
only 30 miles from Central London.
Purchased in 1968 by a Christian charitable trust, the Hall has developed
into a recognised centre for bible teaching, training, prayer, retreat,
counselling, and general ministry to the wider body of Christ. Pilgrims Hall
is home to the resident team and community who facilitate the various activities that go on. We are here because we believe the Lord has called us to firstly minister to Him, and that in doing so we will witness Him ministering to all who pass through our doors. Despite all that is often happening around the Hall, the most common comment made to us is that it is a place where the peace and presence of God can be experienced in a special way.
Within the homely atmosphere of the house and the enclosed safety of the grounds, we are able to offer excellent facilities for smaller conferences, seminars, retreats, outdoor and other events. Regrettably, our facilities do not enable us to cater for residential group bookings.
We do not want lack of finance to be a barrier to anyone using the Hall, so we do endeavour to keep our charges at an absolute minimum. Consequently our earned income in no way covers our expenditure, making us reliant on the Lord’s provision for the daily upkeep of the property, the continuance of the ministry and the life of the team. The resident team is supported in the work by a wider community of trustees, prayer partners, trained and experienced counsellors, and a number of volunteer helpers. If you would be interested in being involved in the life and work of the Pilgrims Hall team, do please contact us. We shall be very happy to discuss possibilities with you.
The Hall enjoys good and long established links with many local Churches in the Brentwood and wider area, and also with many other Christian organisations and ministries, locally and further a field. We are affiliated to the Evangelical Alliance and the Association of Christian Counsellors.
If we can be of service to you in any way, or you would like to be added to our mailing list, or if you just want to know more about the Hall, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
