All about Pilgrims Hall

A Christian retreat and resource centre for people near and far

Pilgrims Hall is a splendid Regency house in Essex. Set in 19 acres, God has established a community living together teaching God’s Word and serving God’s people. When the property was bought in 1968 by Pilgrims Hall Fellowship Limited, a Christian Charitable Trust, the Lord’s vision was given to Roy and Shirley Willis for teaching and discipleship, and for the nurture and equipping of the Body of Christ according to the Word of God. A place provided where people could come together for fellowship. This purpose remains today.

As a centre for Bible teaching, discipleship, worship, prayer, retreat and Christian counselling, Pilgrims Hall is used by Churches and other Christian groups from the local community and further afield.  The most common comments we receive are that people experience both the presence and the peace of God here

Pilgrims Hall itself is not a church, and the individuals on the team who live-in are all members of various local churches. However, as a “called” community we do much that could be described as ‘church’ as we seek to share our lives together practically and spiritually on a daily basis.  As we do this, we trust that Jesus will minister to all who pass through our doors; it is, after all, His ministry.

Our hope and prayer is that our programme of activities will be of interest, both to challenge and inspire you. In addition the fantastic resource of the house itelf can be used by you and your church groups both for personal retreats and for group activities.
